Emirates was quick to order the Extended Range version of the Boeing 777-200 taking delivery of the third aircraft off the production line.

The Boeing 777-200ERs were quickly put to work on one stop services from Dubai to Australia operating the Dubai - Singapore - Melbourne and Dubai - Bangkok - Sydney services along with services to Hong Kong and Europe.

Emirates were quick to capitalise on the extra capacity of the stretched Boeing 777-300 however and so just six 777-200ERs joined the fleet.

The aircraft initially operated in an 18F/42J/236Y configuration but the aircraft have recently been refurbished to feature Emirates latest products with 12 SkyCruiser seats in First Class, 42 Lie Flat Seats in Business and 220 of the latest Weber seats in Economy. The ICE in-flight entertainment

system is featured in all classes.

The 777-200ERs are currently utilised on within the Middle East and to India, and also see use on routes to Europe, the Far East and Indian Ocean and to Cape Town.
